When we conjured up this Spring giveaway, Stan Valiulis, general manager of Exclusively Home, tapped Eastvold to provide the prize. "I love Matt's designs. They are timeless and of the absolute best quality," explained Valiulis, "two great elements that every pure contemporary design afficianado has to appreciate."

We caught up with Eastvold, who hand-manufacturers every piece he sells, and asked him about the table -- which he is quite partial to -- considering he has the original prototype in his house. "I love the simplicity of this table," he said. "It is mid-Century inspired -- and a very good seller for us!"

We love the coffee table because of its attention to detail. The table is solid teak and uses a technique called "miter-folding," which allows the grain to match all around the mitered box -- leaving a 4-1/2 inch high storage area. Eastvold confided that he uses that spot for design magazines and family picture albums!

The table in teak retails for $960 (and in walnut $767) -- but for one lucky reader who signs up for the Pure Contemporary Newsletter -- it will be free! If you haven't signed up -- it's easy to do so -- follow the link below.
