The New York loft is a personal stage -- an open space that delights and confounds its owners as they try to create vignettes, made all the more challenging because of budget constraints -- once the rent on said abode has been paid.
Up for a challenge, and with an eye for second-hand gems, Mary L. Chan of Studio Bartleby, a Brooklyn interior design firm took on the task of creating three spaces from one for the VP of Communications of Cynthia Steffe design. Sharing a love for fashion, distinctive designs and cerebral looks, Chan created a living area, dining and sleeping area -- from one L-shaped space.
